Maria Garavaglia (Chair)
Graduated from the Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan; elected to the House of Representatives, 1979-1994; Under-secretary of the Ministry of Health, 1988-1992 and Minister of Health, 1993–1994. President of the Italian Red Cross, and Vice-President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Movements, 1995-2002. Deputy Mayor of Rome, in 2003- 2008. Senator of the Republic, 2008-2013. Gold Medal to the Merit for Public Health. Among other honors, Grand Cross Knight of the Italian Republic. Director of the medical humanities journal “The Arch of Janus”. President, Institute of Health Studies “G. Cannarella”. She participates in various non-profit organizations and foundations.

Adriana Gagliardi.
Psychologist and psychotherapist. Ordinary member with training functions of the Italian Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (SIPP). Member of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psycvhoterapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Tutor within the specialistic biennium of the Italian Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training (SIPP). Chief editor of the journal, “Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy”, Borla publisher. She collaborates with the Departments of Neurosciences of the University of Padua, on interdisciplinary projects concerning the relationship between Psychoanalysis and Neuroscience.

Domenico Morassutti.
Degree in Political Science and Master in Business Administration. Entrepreneur in the field of hardware stores and fixing systems for construction, industry and crafts. Former President of the Young Entrepreneurs of the Province of Padua, representing the local business community at the national level in the context of Confindustria. Fond of vintage cars, participating in classic cars races regularly

Franca Raffanini. Of Florentine origin, she was born in 1958, and has lived in Padova for the last 30 years. Married with two children. She collaborated for more than 10 years with the Social Services of the City of Padova. She is a Voluntary Nurse of the Italian Red Cross near the Province Committee of Padova.

Lucio Chini. Born in Rovigo in 1951, he graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Padua, entrepreneur and freelancer. Multi-instrumentalist musician, owns one of the most important collections of guitars at the national level. He currently lives and works in Rovigo.

Marco Trabucchi. Full Professor in the Department of Medicine of Systsems of the University of Rome – Tor Vergata, he is the Scientific Director of the Geriatric Research Group of Brescia and the President of the Italian Association of Psychogeriatrics. He is a Past-President of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics. He is the author of over 500 scientific publications in indexed journals, primarily in geriatrics and gerontology.

Marino Cimitan. Medical Specialist in Endocrinology and diagnostic imaging (nuclear medicine and ultrasound). Honorary scientific advisor to the Oncology Referral Center (CRO IRCCS, National Cancer Institute, Aviano) as an expert of molecular imaging. Chairman of the Board of the company ‘Pharmadiagen’ (Pordenone) aimed at the production of genetic tests (pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics) in oncology. Past-Director, Complex Operations Structure of Nuclear Medicine, Oncology Referral Center (CRO – IRCCS).

Paolo Brinis. Professional journalist, for more than 20 years tells the news of the Northeast Italy for the Mediaset Group: TG4, TG5, Studio Aperto and TgCom24. He is part of the editorial board of News Mediaset, the news agency directed by Mario Giordano. Among his main interests: contemporary art, golf and eno-gastronomy. Smokes Cuban cigars very rarely, but he is still fascinated by everything that has to do with them. Enough to write a book, “Around the World in 80 cigars”.

Paolo Chiarelli. Member of the Barrister Association of Padua, he is authorized to practice before the High Courts. He is member of the Register of Auditors and the Register of Arbitrators at the Arbitration Court of Padua. He was one of the founders of the Civil Chamber of Padua. He mainly deals with the corporate and commercial sector, both in the field of extrajudicial consulting and the court trial. He lends his work even in case of financial restructuring, corporate crises and bankruptcy proceedings.

Renzo Rozzini. Director of the Department of Geriatrics, Poliambulanza of Brescia. President of the Geriatric Research Group of Brescia and Scientific Secretary of the Italian Association of Cardiology. Italian delegate of the European Union of Medical Specialists. Since 1994 he is Professor of Hygiene at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Brescia and since 1998 he is Director of the Centre for Studies on Health Organization CeSOS at the same University. He is author of many volumes of geriatrics and gerontology and over 250 international journal articles.

Roberta Ramonda. Specialist in Rheumatology and Cardiology and PhD in Rheumatology and Clinical and Experimental Geriatric Medicine at the University of Padua. She works at the Unit of Rheumatology at the same University Hospital. Member of the Italian Society of Rheumatology and the American College of Rheumatology, she teaches at the School of Specialty of Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, University of Padua. She deals with clinical and basic research with particular interest in degenerative and arthritic diseases.

Tiziano Vecchiato. A sociologist, since 1992 he is the director of the Foundation “E. Zancan Onlus, Centre of Social Research Studies”, Padua. President of the International Association for Outcome-based Evaluation and Research on Family and Children’s Services and President of Piaci (Scientific Association for Active Ageing and Integrated Cure). Professor of Sociology at the University of Padua. Member of the Advisory Board Territory-University of Padova, for the Venetian cultural institutions. Editor in Chief of ‘Studi Zancan’ and author of 370 publications.

Vittorino Andreoli. A psychiatrist, he worked at the University of Cambridge and the Harvard University. Past- director of the Psychiatry Department of Verona, a member of the New York Academy of Science and president of the Section Committee on Psychopathology of Expression of the World Psychiatric Association. Co-founder of the Italian Society of Biological Psychiatry. Founder and co-director of “Quaderni Italiani di Psichiatria” for twenty years. He is author of books and collaborates with the magazine “Mente e Cervello” and with the newspaper “Avvenire”. He has made some programs for the broadcaster Sat 2000.[/vc_column][/vc_row]

Ines Testoni.Associate Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Padua, she directs the Master in Death Studies & The End of Life. She is also Director of conferences organized by ( and author of several books and articles of national and international relevance.
